East/West

When the Roman remnant were still a force to be reckoned with, the isle was effectively split by the Celtic west, and the Roman east. The west was ultimately victorious through Lucanis's efforts, but in the east the Roman influence was retained and, over the years, flowed in and out of fashion eventually melding with their more Celtic neighbors.

There is still a divide, though dulled compared to what it once was. In recent times, the east has underhandedly claimed themselves more civilized by making Londinium the seat of the cened. This has made the west resentful, and the divide has become wider as a result.

To the outsider, eastern and western Kymbri might seem like polar opposites on the surface level. The west upholds the isle's spiritual traditions with stronger ties to community, while the east is more focused on blood family and what they call "A Roman sense of industry."
